It is denser, thicker, and approximately 30% heavier than regular clay.Fireclay construction is ideal for large fixtures. It allows for a durable, smooth, flat surface, which is not attainable with standard vitreous china.PLEASE NOTE: Fireclay sinks have slight variations in size including a slight pitch on all four sides; we highly recommend the sink be on site when cabinets are being ordered or manufactured.
